It Runs In The Family

I grew up in a family-owned business. My granddaddy, Jessie Gilstrap, owned Trenton Appliance in West Monroe. He was such a genius, and I watched as he grew his company. My mom and dad owned Trenton Appliance on Highway 165, so I grew up learning how to run a business by watching my family. The best advice ever given to me was, “If you really love what you are doing and have a true passion for it, you will be a huge success!”

Entrepreneur at 14

At age 14, I loved teaching people of all ages how to swim, so I started my own business teaching swim lessons. I did that for 14 years. I enjoyed aerobics, so I started a small aerobics class in Ruston, Louisiana as I completed my degree at Louisiana Tech University. From there, I hired my friends to help.

Eat To Lose is Born

Once I graduated from LA Tech University, I worked as a clinical R.D., LDN at St. Francis Hospital and P&S Surgical Hospital for 7 years. Then I finally started Eat to Lose, Inc., and I hit the ground running. This is the best of all of my jobs! I get to help clients decrease obesity-related medications, and it is so rewarding! I am getting to see kids grow up with more confidence and transform in front of my eyes.

All recommendations on the program are based on the most advanced medical information, weight management, and wellness research available. Clients are required to list their favorite food prior to their initial consultation. Andi can customize a diet plan that addresses your authentic food cravings.
Because 90% of weight loss results from dietary changes, this program is very effective. Busy schedules and a healthy relationship with food are the primary goals. Being prepared with approved snacks during the day and the ability to make healthier food choices, along with portion control, will keep you on track as you watch the pounds melt off.

Food cravings and emotional eating issues are welcomed topics of discussion. Andi has personally developed (and tasted) recipes to meet any food craving. All foods suggested on this plan are available at your local grocery store. You will not be required to purchase any foods or supplements from Eat To Lose, Inc.

The initial session will last approximately one hour. Andi will complete a full assessment of your dietary needs, tastes, and medical history. Long-term goals are based on your Body Fat % and will be determined during this meeting. Upon completion of the initial session, clients will receive a personalized guide with a suggested grocery list, sample menus, and a customized diet plan. By the end of the third week, the program will be modified further due to an increased metabolism. Andi will monitor your Body Fat and adjust your program so you do not over eat. In addition to losing one size by the end of the third week and 2-3 sizes by the end of the six week program, most clients also decrease body fat by 4-6%.
By following the Eat to Lose program, you will learn about portion control and food labels. Andi will provide menus and grocery lists for you to purchase foods at the local grocery store. As your comfort level grows, you will learn how to plan your own menus at the end of the 6-week program.
Yes, Andi counsels individuals ranging in ages from 3 to 110 years old! She has seven years of clinical hospital experience with pediatrics and geriatrics so she is well-prepared for any situation. Children’s menus will be designed to meet food cravings and texture preferences for success, which is addressed in the program.
Yes, there is a restaurant section located in the Eat to Lose program. Andi will guide and coach you on how to choose the correct foods when eating out. The menus allow enough flexibility to enjoy foods at any restaurant. This program will help you develop the confidence to choose the right foods and continue weight loss.
